Transportation Provider Disclosure
This disclosure explains what RideBrook is, what it is not, and who is responsible for the transportation you book. It is written plainly because the distinction matters.
RideBrook is a booking and coordination brand
RideBrook arranges chauffeured transportation. It does not provide it.
RideBrook does not own, lease or operate the vehicles used for your trip. RideBrook does not employ, contract or supervise the chauffeurs who drive them. RideBrook is not a motor carrier, a limousine operator or a taxi company, and does not hold itself out as one.
The transportation you book is supplied and performed by an independent transportation provider — a separate business that operates its own vehicles with its own drivers under its own operating authority.
What RideBrook is responsible for
RideBrook's role in your booking is to:
- Receive and review your transportation request
- Identify suitable options through its network of transportation providers
- Present you with a vehicle option, pricing and the terms that apply
- Arrange the booking with the transportation provider once you confirm
- Act as your customer-facing point of contact for the reservation
What the transportation provider is responsible for
The independent transportation provider carrying out your trip is responsible for the transportation itself. That includes:
- Holding and maintaining the operating authority, licensing and permits their jurisdiction and vehicle class require
- Carrying the insurance required for the transportation they perform
- Employing or engaging the chauffeur, including licensing, screening and training
- Providing, maintaining and operating a roadworthy vehicle of the class booked
- Complying with all applicable transportation, safety and employment laws
- The conduct of the trip and the acts and omissions of their personnel
RideBrook expects every provider in its network to meet these obligations. Responsibility for meeting them rests with the provider, not with RideBrook.
Why transportation is arranged this way
Chauffeured transportation in the United States is operated locally. Operators are licensed in the markets they serve, and vehicle availability differs city by city and day by day.
Coordinating through a network of independent providers lets RideBrook offer a wider range of vehicle classes, across more markets, than any single operator's own fleet could cover — and lets the vehicle be matched to your trip rather than to whatever one company happens to have free.
Allocation of responsibility
Because transportation is performed by an independent provider, claims arising from the transportation itself — the conduct of the trip, the vehicle, the chauffeur, or any loss or injury occurring during it — lie against that provider.
RideBrook remains your point of contact and will assist in raising and directing such matters to the relevant provider. This does not make RideBrook the carrier, and does not transfer the provider's responsibility to RideBrook. The limits of RideBrook's own liability are set out in the Terms & Conditions.
Availability is not guaranteed
Because RideBrook does not own vehicles, availability depends on the independent providers serving a market on a given date. A listed market, service or vehicle class indicates where RideBrook has provider relationships — it is not a guarantee that a vehicle is available for any particular trip.
Availability is confirmed for your specific reservation, not implied by anything on this website.
